Thread lift surgery is a non-invasive procedure designed to lift sagging skin around the face and neck area. As an alternative to a face lift, Threadlift surgery uses fine threads containing small barbs which lift areas such as cheek jowls, mid face, neck and eyebrows.
The Procedure
Performed under local anaesthetic, fine threads are inserted through a small cut in the skin to lift those areas of the face that are vulnerable to sagging. Pulling on the thread causes the small barbs to snag and lift the skin in an upward direction. The procedure yields instant results and can be done in around thirty to ninety minutes.
Who Is A Good Candidate For Thread Lift Surgery?
Male or female adults often between the ages of 30 and 60 who are experiencing the signs of sagging skin and are otherwise in good physical health, may benefit greatly from this procedure. This procedure is often used by clients who are also interested in other cosmetic treatments such as facial rejuvenation, fillers, peels or laser therapy.
Post-Operative Care
Normally a threadlift procedure produces minimal pain and oral medications are all that are required for pain management. Ice compresses are often recommended for the first 24 - 48 hours, and some minor swelling, bruising and dimpling may occur. Return to work may occur after two to seven days.
Are There Any Risks?
As Threadlift is a relatively simple procedure to perform complications should be minimal if you are using an experienced and qualified cosmetic surgeon. The procedure is also entirely reversible should you be dissatisfied with results and reversal can also occur under local anaesthetic.

Muscle relaxant therapy is beneficial for both adult men and women of any age looking to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Muscle relaxant therapy is particularly helpful in reducing the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead, frown lines and around the eyes.
Muscle Relaxant Therapy Explained
The treatment involves a small amount of purified protein being injected through a fine needle into the affected areas of the face. This causes the muscles in the area to relax, which then temporarily prevents creasing of the skin.
A fifteen minute procedure will show pleasing results within a week, and results can last as long as four months. Muscle relaxant therapy, like temporary fillers, is a non-permanent treatment so over time the relaxant properties will wear off and lines will return, but it is beneficial for those who are looking for a quick skin rejuvenating fix without having to have permanent surgery.
After Care
After undergoing muscle relaxant therapy you may experience a little redness in affected areas of the skin, and in some cases some minor bruising might appear. This can be reduced with cold packs. You may be advised to avoid strenuous exercise or alcohol intake immediately after muscle relaxant treatments. It is important to use a qualified and experienced practitioner who can explain any risk factors for your individual situation prior to the treatments.

Although we all know the benefits of exercise, diet and cosmetic procedures for improving our health and looking our best, it can be difficult amidst the frantic pace of our busy lifestyles to find the time to do what is best for us. There is however some quick and easy habits that we can all integrate into even in the busiest of schedules to improve our overall health:
1 – Drink more water
Drinking water is not only to improve our thirst – it is to increase our energy levels, improve concentration, flush out toxins, and regulate body temperature amongst other things. Drink at least eight glasses of water per day and start reaping the many benefits.
2 – Gentle exercises
Often when we think of exercise we assume that we must join a gym or begin jogging a couple of kilometres a day. One of the best ways to make a firm commitment to exercise is to begin doing something gentle for short periods of time. Fifteen minutes of Yoga or Tai Chi each morning or evening is not only good for the body but relaxes the mind as well.
3 – Meditate
The benefits of meditation are now accepted and a well-known method of relieving stress and quieting the mind. Twenty minutes a day of relaxation and allowing the mind to slow down is a great way to learn the art of meditation and relaxation.
4 – Diet
Reducing your reliance on unhealthy foods is one way to improve the way you eat which will also improve your health. The next time you feel a sugar crave come on, replace that piece of chocolate with a piece of fruit which will fill you with good sugars that won’t increase your waist line.
5 – Cosmetic procedures
If you’re looking for smoother skin, or to renew facial contours consider Thermage, a non-invasive treatment for tightening skin and reducing wrinkles. Reduce the first signs of ageing around the eyes and lips with Photodynamic Therapy, another non-invasive treatment for improving skin tone and texture.

Regardless of what many of Hollywood’s most famous faces are doing to keep their figures so slim, healthy eating begins and ends with eating foods from all of the food groups. So before you think about cutting out carbs or only eating raw foods, it is best to adopt a 100 per cent healthy lifestyle that is recommended by qualified practitioners such as Dr Zacharia, and avoid the following celebrity diets:
The Baby Food Diet
This diet is supposedly popular with celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Consisting of small amounts of pureed food, the baby food diet is good for babies but not so good for adults. Strained food is great for those without teeth however; eating pureed carrots all day can be detrimental to your teeth as well as your overall health.
The Raw Food Diet
Apparently favoured by Demi Moore and Natalie Portman, the Raw Food Diet is much better approached as an occasional cleanser than a sustainable diet. On this diet, as the name suggests only raw foods and unpasteurised dairy products are consumed. This means that pulses and grains such as brown rice and lentils are omitted as is meat.
The Blood Group Diet
Reported fans of this diet are Sir Cliff Richard and Courtenay Cox which is based on eating specifically for your blood group. For example, blood group O is the meat eating diet where blood group A is all about vegetables. Each blood group restricts certain foods which is not part of a healthy, balanced diet.
A balanced diet of meat, dairy, vegetables and fruit remains a healthy approach to dieting. Remove as many preservatives as possible by eating fresh foods and where possible buy organic. Combine this with plenty of water and regular exercise and you can reduce and sustain your weight in a balanced way. After addressing any health issues and weight issues why not consider cosmetic surgery to enhance your appearance.
